  1. This was Recently finished on a clients brief of red skin tones and if I could a brighter green blood.
  2. oh man mine isnt great im aware of that but at the time i thought id done pretty good.
  3. This still remains one of if not my favorite screen used lineage prop i own. The P1 stunt bio. i painted this back in 2009 if the time stamp on the jpeg is correct, i really need to get another so i can get a more accurate paint up. this was simply done with rattle can silver paint, black, brown and green inks. i don't care how ropey it looks today i still love it 🙂
  4. Bio helmet, ive no idea how i got to this design, but i have. i need to find a big format resin printing service and get some quotes in as i have only printed a mini test so far.
  5. i look forward to you looking forward to seeing this ...........yup for sure too much sugar this morning.
  6. lots, the list is very very long and varied haha
  7. I am going to ignore everything i made latex which is prior to this build. ( 2004-2009) this was my silicone skinned predator i made in 2010 which i turned into Judge Predd for dragoncon 2013. i do not have all the photo but i think apart from the Darts and Trilaser mines i made everything else from scratch. finished photos first then a random dump of the progress.
  8. far too kind Gene, I genuinely haven't done much predator stuff, but i guess im also thinking compared to the uk where i was constantly sculpting one for years lol.
  9. Yeah i can see the Ram thing, this isnt as tapered as the film one because i wanted it to fit masks, but its way cleaner and more accurate than the 1st 2 if that makes sense. pred fart after all that beef................
  10. With the advent of 3d design i revisted one of my favorite quirky props, the rebreather from predator 2, which spends about 3 seconds on screen. the 1st 2 i made had issues ( mainly being my skillset ) so i always planned to revisit this. this time i did take liberties to hopefully make sure it would fit many mask shales and sizes.
  11. For years i was asked if i had considered a "custom" predator , i had always resisted. well after 12 different predator head sculpts. and a certain event being planned i decided timing is everything so why not. this will chronicle the build, and i will post failures and successes along the way. to start off here is the head, i have been through 4 changes i believe until this point, and i still have a lot of refining to do assuming i do not change my mind again. the plan was to be faithful to the original design but different. and i think that directive messed with my own head. following the head i started tinkering in 3d design and 3d kit bashed some things together along with items made from scratch, to come up with dual shoulder cannons i may rock. i have more to add to this build but i am tired and need to chase down photos.
  12. I made a conscious choice after making my silicone P1 suit in 2010 to avoid working with stinky latex and predators if i could moving forward, since then i changed location globally and started working for myself so this is only the 2nd predator head i had sculpted in that time. i do not have many photos of the sculpt progress, but here is the latest version and i have a cool tweaked version i am finishing up this week, which i will post photos when i have it done.
  13. Sorry there is not much of work in progress on this mask, I'm genuinely not sure why i didn't take many photos. this was based off my 2010 silicone p1 mask, a reworked clay pour.. it seemed fitting being as the original elder was a modified P1 mask. ive included a couple of different paint ups and variations i have done on this mask.
  14. Well well well if it isnt US. i have been thinking of how to reply to this for a few days. and i am still none the wiser so..... My name is Lee and a long time ago in a country far far away ( UK ) i joined a motley ezboard forum about predator costuming, on that site i met what would turn out to be lifelong friends, with a bond surpassing normal online friendship. closing in on 20 years later friends are now brothers, and although this forum disappeared for a while, the lair was never just a place , it was a people. ( sorry thor ) we bounced off each other and pushed each other weekly, and i am very much looking forward to seeing if we can encourage todays fans into making things they did not think were possible. long live the lair.
