Straight from Rob's amazing artwork. Doing my best to recreate his set of sketches into a real life helmet. This is my second time sculpting the helmet. First attempt failed when the clay dried out and cracked. About 10 years later I am taking another stab at it. Facts Monster clay medium Sculpted over a plaster bandaged foam block. Will be molded in silicone to make Resin copies. No idea what the paintwork will look like yet. Overall the goal was to blend a Japanese Oni mask with a Predator helmet. I made a conscious choice after making my silicone P1 suit in 2010 to avoid working with stinky latex and predators if i could moving forward, since then i changed location globally and started working for myself so this is only the 2nd predator head i had sculpted in that time. i do not have many photos of the sculpt progress, but here is the latest version and i have a cool tweaked version i am finishing up this week, which i will post photos when i have it done.

Figured id put all my old latex mask sculpts in one place ( all pre silicone so all before 2009 ) Its pretty embarrassing to see these, but maybe itll show you can get better, which i try to all the time. no real description because they for the most part suck. starting 2004 open mouth P1

Sorry there is not much of work in progress on this mask, I'm genuinely not sure why i didn't take many photos. this was based off my 2010 silicone p1 mask, a reworked clay pour.. it seemed fitting being as the original elder was a modified P1 mask. ive included a couple of different paint ups and variations i have done on this mask.
