MeanGene
Project Jungle Hunter is meant to be an old school Hunter's Lair build project. We are so fortunate to have this ultracal mold of the original predator. The mold having been made at Stan Winston's shop back in the day of an original head. Doesn't get any closer to the original than this. But he has no mandibles... Well that's where we come in. Let's rebuild it in whatever ways we want. Enjoy. This will be fun to follow. 3
Tutank
Man I’ve been waiting for this. I say open and close mouth like sort of a giant hot toy type of interchangeable mandible’s?? Just my two cents. What a great find!!
Tutank
Love to see the back of it. I’d like to see it stay all P1 original, top to bottom not a custom. Edited November 5, 2022 by Tutank
Kithunter
This is it, man the holy grail of pred heads.. It landed in good hands. Will be following this all winters long
MeanGene
Here is a quick look at the molds. Will make a deep dive video showing the molds, tell the story of who made them, how they came from Stan Winstons shop back in the day and how they came to us.
Tutank
Sounds like the molds are made of concrete. Thanks for sharing. This is great stuff.
Tutank
I see a small mold on the right is that for the mandibles?
MeanGene
The small mold. Yes was given to me with the larger mold. From what I was told it is of some old Scott Marshall Mandibles. Whatever the case. Will not be using that.

Tutank
How many dreads were on the head sculpt?
MeanGene
Good question. When I am back at the shop I will take a look and count them. Will post pictures.
MeanGene
I didn't have any time to devote to posting an update on this mold and the casting. I've been dealing with a water main leak at my home which will require full replacement to the street. Bogus. Promise I will get some more details up next week. Have yet to count the dred holes, but I will do a full 360 tour of the head and mold. Thanks everyone.

Tutank
Anything moving on the jungle hunter project? Edited December 11, 2022 by Tutank
MeanGene
Zero movement unfortunately. When my water main blew at home it killed all my momentum. As I do this for fun and not a career path its sometimes hard to give it complete focus. Rest assured it will happen. I will get my ass down there and make a video showing this thing off and explaining it. Give me some time. Thanks!

Tutank
Any forward progress on the P1 build?
MeanGene
I managed to get the head filled properly with foam and then mounted to a bust. This was an important step. Now I will be able to make the silicone mold. Once the mold is done resin armatures will be made. Will also make clay pours for sculpting the face section. I am waiting to mold it at the same time as the Juggernaut Bio. Want to do all the molding at once for both pieces. My 9-5 gig has ramped up again and is pulling me away from these projects so I have no firm timeline. But it's at the top of the list.

Tutank
Anything moving on this project? I was wondering if you came up with a mandible section to the mask.
MeanGene
This has been on hold until I can finish the Juggernaut bio build. That is now winding down so I am looking towards making a silicone mold of this latex head. That mold will allow me to make resin castings. The resin castings will be a basis for sculpting on. Have a few ideas for the sculpting process. Hoping to recruit a well known sculptor but have not solidified plans yet. I did manage to pull another casting for a friend. The quality is exceptional. I can't wait.
