In another pic, i saw those sew on snap buttons on the suit, around the shoulders, maybe its the same thing, looks similar

I think you are right. I use to snag those from Michaels Art Supply for my suit. Came in a pack of like 10 and you can attach snaps to anything with the special tool punch that it came with. Neat trick. Simple stuff.
