oooICEMANooo Posted January 3 Posted January 3 It's my turn now to talk about this helmet that I've had for a few years. The only work I've done on it is applying epoxy to the inside rims to help maintain its shape over time. This helmet is truly straight out of the movie mold; you might notice how narrow the face looks—this is exactly how it came from the mold. I absolutely love, love the P1 helmet design, and over the years, I've studied pictures of it before going to sleep and during my free time, you name it. My focus is always on this helmet. I've shared my thoughts and theories on the details, or "greebles," of the P1, and I genuinely believe I’m onto something. I’ll be sharing my progress and my ideas about what I think they used. I focused on the lines of medical equipment; going based on the tools in the Med-pack. You see a circular mark on the left chin? This is exactly where the bit sits. I matched up my helmet with images we have available; I tried my best get the image 1/1 to match it up with mine. (lots of measuring) I do have all the greebles; I believe.. More progress coming. I will be updating this thread.... 3 Quote ***MY-SEXY-INSTAGRAM***
Jparr3085 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Love the photos. The bio looks beautiful and I can't wait to see what updates you have to follow. Keep it coming! Quote
oooICEMANooo Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Bringing all the ideas together to restore this helmet to what I believe it originally looked like will be a huge relief for me. HAHA! I've been sitting on this project for far too long. However, I have received the putty I'm going to use to fill in the missing areas of the helmet. 1 Quote ***MY-SEXY-INSTAGRAM***
