Wanted to split off a separate thread to use as a general 3d modeling thread. I am by no means an expert in 3d modeling and I'm always open to hearing new ideas/workflows/constructive criticisms. One of the first objects I ever wanted to sculpt on my own was Ahabs Engineer Rifle from the Fire and Stone (?) comics. Its such a neat design and I feel that in all of the prometheus media its the only prop that blends biomechanics into utility in a way that both makes sense and is pleasing to look at. I made this like 1 yearago, i got a yamaha blaster and we use masks for the dust when riding, so i sculpted this one to look cooler than my friends lol, i made it so it can accept mx goggles, i dont have a pic with the goggles on, will add it later, sculpted in monsterclay medium, casted in smoothcast 300, strap was sewn by me, its fully adjustable for any head without the need of buckles, hope you like * last picture is @ta2pro with one he purchased from me

Has any one gotten any updates at all for that upcoming One:12 (aka 6 inch scale) Predator figure that Mezco is putting out? Hell, it was announced way earlier than the Superman (Christopher Reeve edition) and Wolverine (90s classic edition) yet the latter got released earlier. Been waiting since the preorders went live back in Q1 of 2020.

Found this little short video looked pretty simple way to make some dreadlocks for a predator mask will try it out myself and will add more to this thread .

So I made a bow from what I had laying around too some possible bones from a Halloween decoration that I used for a trophy. And this is what I came up with had a wood handle and some half dowel of eva foam all in all I like how it’s coming along but will be making improvements as I go

I have been working on a film that requires animated 3D models of cars driving on the road. These would be integrated into shots that have real world counterparts to these specific cars. Is there anyone out there who does this kind of thing, or do you know someone who might? I did have a guy who was able to edit Beam NG and create some scenes for me, but was unable to import specific car models (which I have). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Figured id put all my old latex mask sculpts in one place ( all pre silicone so all before 2009 ) Its pretty embarrassing to see these, but maybe itll show you can get better, which i try to all the time. no real description because they for the most part suck. starting 2004 open mouth P1

Theses are my weapons I use for my huntress. The duel blade I made using spare wristblades. The AvP 2 spear I got as a gift, then adjusting it to my suited design. Along it’s my gauntlet wristblades. I also have the canon but I might remove it, just for better comfort.

Here's an Elder Predator suit I did for a member of the lair years ago Garopred. I used a set of Pete Manders Predator 1 skins and I believe it was a Scott Marshall Elder Predator head. Had to sculpt some belt buckles miscellaneous bones myself but this was the finished product.o

Here are the videos I watched that helped me make my predator spear . Nothing to horribly difficult thankfully but sometimes it helps to have a visual on what to do or try . Hope these videos help you as much as they helped me !

Hello wow been a long time I joined the original lair back on June 21, 2011 . Watched it become predatorium and to what is now RPF craft your fandom .. was able to gather my old photos of my suit at least but I did miss this amazing community and I’m happy to join up and meet some amazing cosplayers and crafters!. Here’s what I started as back in high school before I had my own job and was able to get better material to make what I have now for my hunter, soon I’ll be making a new update once my order get in so stay tuned if you like to see it!

Got myself a digital file off Etsy and so far I’m happy with how it came out . Need to add some details and paint but we are coming along nicely definitely a good way to go if you don’t have a 3D printer and you don’t have the ability to cast your own.
