haha 30 questions,
3d sculpt i dont know i rarely keep time of things as i bounce between commissions and projects all the time, id happily bet its way quicker than sculpture because symmetry can be turned on in the program so you technically only work one side. plus i know alot of times waste molds are made then a resin copy is made and body shopped to the final form before molding. i did that with my 1st and second rebreathers.
The print took i believe around 18 hrs per half ( it was printed in 2 ) on my elegoo jupiter resin printer.
The 3d print is way way heavier than the cast, the cast weighs in at 883 grams with the eyes not cut out, i didnt cast it super thick and i feel the weight to wear wouldnt be much of a issue, i MAY cast one in fiberglass to see how much it cuts down but i am not sure its worth the hassle. the resin print is packed away but id happily guess it was double the weight.
The surface of them look different as the cast has the above-mentioned powder applied to the mold, so being silver it picks up shadows and light differently to a matte grey finish, if i did cast in grey there would be nothing different to notice other than a slight shade variance.
