Hi!

I'm posting some photos of my Mr Black sculpt. The textures still need some work, but the shape is there. I'm planning to make both latex masks and resin busts out of it when it's ready, and I'll make it so you can see from the eyes, like a normal predator. I'll be also sculpting the dreads. I hope you like it!

thats an incredible bsp head my friend! with every new sculpt i'm adjusting to the new head more and more, and i liked it pretty well to begin with

now i can't exactly see the very back of your sculpt, but i just wanted you to know (and so far it's been very hard to see in the leakt pics) that there is a very p1 style "ruffle" at the very back of the crown, not as pronounced, but behind those ridges, haven't seen it from a top view but here's some sideshots, and the evidence of this attribute...

hellonearth, thanks for the advice! The last day I worked on the sculpt, I realized I had that mistake, thats why I didnt post photos of the back, lol

I'll fix that tomorrow for sure! By the way, thanks for the first pic, the lighting helps me a lot to see some of the textures.

Quick update on this. I don't have new pics right now, but the sculpt is almost finished. Tomorrow I'll make the mould, and hopefully, first casts will be ready on thursday or friday.

I'm also working on some dreadlocks for this beauty

Done! This is as accurate as we can get with the current reference pictures. We tried to get a realistic and organic look, using our experience with animal replicas for museums. We will be making the mould tomorrow, along with the teeth and the facial hair. We will also be starting a sculpt of the bio! We will make it so the mask can be used with and without bio (attachment with hidden magnets, positionable mandibles, etc.). I hope you like it, a lot of effort has been put on this in order to make it as fantastic as possible!

Gorgeous sculpt! I actually prefer it to the Bagy version, as it's sleaker and less clunky in profile. Looks spot-on, dude!

New stuff!

We painted the sculpt as a prototype before making the mould, and I love how it looks! I won't be seeing the movie until the premiere on Spain, August 13th, but I think it looks very similar. Anyways, as soon as there are more reference images (hot toys, etc), we will be able to correct any colour difference between our masks and busts and the movie version.

Colours are different but yet very very cool

Well, colours should not be different, since we did the colour scheme showed in these leaked pics:


Of course, the different lighting has an effect on how the colours look, but they are more or less the same. Unless, of course, you're comparing it with Bob's colour, which in my opinion is really far from accurate, wether it looks cool or not.

Lighting really changes the appearance, either way it's an incredible mask with an equally incredible paint up

Actually the screen used peice is a fair bit darker than the screen shots we have seen. and does not have so much of a green hue, still a mightly fine paint up, on a great sculpt.
